150. PAVEMENTS IN POLLARDS MOOR ROAD
Further to minute 140, the local resident had supplied further details of the defective pavements in Pollards Moor Road. The alleged problem area was from Pollards Moor Farm to the timber yard, with the pavement extremely narrow and affected by overgrown hedges. Members commented that the pavement outside the sawmill was also uneven. Agreed, matter to be pursued with highway surveyor.
151. PARISH WEB SITE
Members received a response from TLC-Online to the Council’s suggested alterations to the parish website. In particular, village names had been added under the parish logo and a disclaimer had been incorporated. The banner photograph would be changed according to season and a map would be displayed showing the location of Copythorne in the New Forest.
TLC were also willing to take photographs for the website in the spring and/or summer and could accommodate most of the other suggested improvements. In the case of planning applications, it was only possible to provide a link to the planning authority’s search page and not to individual applications.
With regard to the logo, Bartley School had not yet made any further progress with a design. Members therefore agreed to retain the ‘horse’s head’ image created by TLC.
152. RED TELEPHONE KIOSKS
Further to minute 131, a further letter had been received from the Newbridge resident enquiring about the Council’s assessment of costs for possible adoption of redundant BT red telephone boxes.
The Clerk had advised that there had been no cost analysis and that the Council had simply decided that it did not wish to take on a long-term liability for the kiosks. Members re-affirmed that they wished to take no further action in respect of adoption.
The resident had also enquired about parish council financial arrangements and the Clerk had supplied relevant information.
